Q: Does Kid City offer financial assistance or accept support from D.E.S. (AZ Department of Economic Security)??
A: No. However, Kid City does offer discounts for multiple sibling enrollment and for Casas Church members.
Q: Does Kid City utilize a professionally developed curriculum?
A: Yes. Our lessons and activities are based upon the "Weekday Early Education (WEE) Learn" curriculum guides. Wee Learn is published by the Child Development Education Alliance (CDEA), formerly known as the Association of Christian Early Educators (ACEE).
Q: Are teachers certified or academically trained?
A: Yes. Our teachers are required to have either a 2 or 4 year degree in Early Childhood Education, a Child Development Associate Certification, or are currently working on the degree/certification. Additionally, as a matter of Kid City Christian Preschool policy and per Arizona state licensing regulations, all staff must complete a minimum of 24 hours per year of continuing education in Early Childhood Development.
Q: Are lunch and snacks provided?
A: No. Kid City offers a morning and afternoon snack, and parents provide their child's lunch. All classrooms have a refrigerator and microwave to help with lunchtime needs. Note: Effective August 3, 2026, all parents are responsible for providing a morning snack and lunch, as well an afternoon snack if your child will stay past 3:00 p.m.
Q: Does Kid City offer transportation?
A: No. Parents must transport their children to and from Kid City.
Q: What is the registration procedure?
A: A completed KCCP Application Form with the $80.00 registration fee reserves the child's place in a classroom for two weeks (or for the upcoming school year, once Open Enrollment has begun). Tuition is due on the 1st of the month. Prior to starting in the classroom, parents must also submit an Emergency Form, along with copies of the following: child's birth Certificate, child's vaccination records, and parent/guardian Photo IDs. Documents may be submitted to [email protected] OR in person at the KCCP office. In compliance with Arizona regulations, these forms must be completed and included in the child's file at Kid City before the child may begin attending preschool.
Q: Once I complete registration/enrollment of my child at Kid City, what do I need to bring?
A: At least one full change of clothing (stays in child's cubby), diapers or pullups as needed, a napper (purchased at registration) inside a pillowcase, lunchbox (include lunch from home with any necessary utensils, along with two snacks, clearly labeled AM and PM), and a water bottle. Per state licensing regulations, all items MUST be labeled with first and last names. Individual classrooms may have additional requests depending the child's individual needs.
