Kid City's History

Kid City Christian Preschool opened its doors to 19 children in 1970. Over the years, many children have benefited from the loving care and nurture provided by dedicated Christian teachers. The preschool has grown steadily through the years to include Full-Day Preschool, Morning Preschool, and the unique Parents Day Out program. The preschool provides flexibility for the services families desire and the care and nurturing children need.
Kid City Christian Preschool, formerly known as Casas Early Childhood Development Center, was located at the church's former site at Ina and La Cholla Boulevard. In 1998, Casas Church relocated to an 85-acre site on La Cholla Boulevard between Naranja and Lambert Lane. The new buildings were designed with the preschool as the primary focus, providing Kid City with spacious classrooms, grassy playgrounds, and several auditoriums. Once the relocation was complete, administrators renamed the preschool to better reflect its location and ministry.
Kid City's staff is constantly striving to please God by providing age-appropriate programs and the atmosphere necessary to enhance the spiritual, mental, emotional, social and physical development of each student. Staff members and teachers pray regularly for each other, for their students, and for their parents. They recognize the importance of their relationship with God and seek to share Christ's love with the children. Although Kid City Christian Preschool is church-sponsored, church affiliation is not a prerequisite for enrollment.
Kid City is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International. ACSI is the largest Christian accrediting body in the world, holding schools voluntarily to standards of excellence that go well beyond the state daycare guidelines that all preschools must follow.
